SPEAKER SERIES 2012, UBC OKANAGAN

The Okanagan BCASW Branch looks forward to another year of supporting social workers in the Okanagan valley. Over the past year, the Branch has focused on raising our profile in the community and strengthening our relationship with the School of Social Work at UBC Okanagan.

In the coming year we are delighted to offer a complementary educational series held on the UBC Okanagan Campus. Each seminar will include a 60 minute lecture followed by a small group discussion. Attendees will include students, BCASW members, faculty members and field instructors.

  • melissa hyland I believe passionately that BCASW membership can be an opportunity to bridge the historically created gap through child welfare practice and Aboriginal communities. Membership of more Indigenous social workers will help build relationships with ally social workers to transform how BC takes care of its burgeoning resource: our children!
