Encompassing a vast and mountainous geographical area in the Southern Interior of British Columbia (BC), the social workers that reside within the Kootenay region are diverse. Our branch consists of numerous social workers employed in diverse social work settings possessing unique knowledge, skills as well as experiences that stem from practicing in rural and remote communities.

September 26 2017: face-to-face meeting in Cranbrook at the Heidout starting at 5:30pm
October 30 2017: face-to-face meeting in Ainsworth at the Ktunaxa Grill starting at 5:30pm
November 21 2017: face-to-face meeting in Nelson at Shanes place starting at 5:30pm
December 2017: no meeting as to allow for winter breakbranch meetings will resume January 2018
Currently, our branchmeets the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30pmand it is an opportunity to network and connect with other local social workers in a casual and social environment. We often discuss ideas about social work practice, promoting the profession, supporting one another, as well as update each other on the changes that occur in our communities and engage in dialogue about keeping balance in our lives.
