Social Worker in Private Practice
Prince George

A social worker since 1968,  I’ve worked with families and children in mental health and hospital settings, private practice and EAPs. I have also enjoyed teaching  - courses for UVic & UBC Social Work in the 1980s,  and then full time in the Social Services Program at the College of New Caledonia, 1987 to 2004.  I continue to work part time at Walmsley & Associates [EAP]. I moved to Prince George in 1974 “for a year” and have been here ever since! When I am not wearing my Social Work “hat”, I love to ski, bike, paddle, and explore the “great outdoors” with my husband and friends. I am a great advocate of personal / professional wellness . Being a part of BCASW has always given me a sense of connection to Social Work ethics and standards – a sense of staying “on track” and being accountable to self, community , and the social work profession.
